It POURED! All night - it was lovely, I hardly slept... instead I thought of 'who' I would paint for a Christmas Gift this year! Done - a couple (strangers) I've been following instagram & who I think does incredible 'educating' for those who are ignored.
I had fun painting Pooh & thought of another 'Covid Pooh' with Piglet but.. hmmm I'm not sure... if I will paint it or not. So much to do - not enough hours in the day! Norm and I are both busier than ever. Norm said "I've never worked this hard"... refering to his current project- lol I reminded him - YES! BUT remember - NOW - you are working for YOURSELF. YAY! From what I am reading good luck finding pressure treated wood - better luck finding a reliable, knowledgable & talented contractor! So happy I have a live in contractor - who I could not afford - but thankfully, he likes my cooking. heehee
It's rainy but I don't mind because my garden is stunning! I guess we don't get deer munching on plants due to the dogs. We are getting excited about our new family member - as I type Poppy is on my lap & Ginger behind my bum on the "tight' chair lol We've been gate training in preparation for the pup! When we come home I get out at the gate, Norm lets the dogs out & they race up to greet me, it's good exercise... so the day I pick up Sunshine (Sunny) - Norm will let me out & when they run up to meet me - they will meet their baby sister! YAY! lol Babies are welcome- there's never any fighting- they will know she is a baby - although she will be probably bigger than Poppy & Ginger by the time I pick her up. I love my furry family. Scruffy is deaf, she doesn't go far at all anymore, she is not permitted to wander the woods anymore... a pup brings new life & energy, even Scruffy will have fun, I know.
I read this yesterday & it stuck... Ponder this:
Do you see the body or recognize the spirit? ? ? ?
I want to ONLY recognize others spirit from now on. I don't care about your body, hair, nails, skin colour- all stuff... the details are in the mind, what comes from the mouth (& hopefully heart) & spirit.
What can you do in 40 seconds?
I can send an e mail, drink a cup of cool coffee, go out to the front, send a text - go to the bathroom, flip thru a magazine, do a quick doodle, there are so many things I can do in 40 seconds... how about you?
I completely understand the anger and retaliation against the police regarding black lives & their obvious disregard for black lives & Indigenous people. It's got to end. I think too many police officers have been hired (in the USA in particular) without the proper training & mental testing. I believe the USA uses their police as pawns and doesn't really even care about their lives either - just fighting machines.
Sad - all around. Almost Everything, I read from the USA lately is... sad.
I read something yesterday, I had to read it at least 7 times before it would actually register in my mind to be a true fact. Tomorrow.
