Sketch book study inspired by a sketch, as most work is. 2 page spread
I caught Daisy sitting on the edge of the yard looking down into the woods, with her ears turned back to listen to what/where I was going. She was so content I wondered what she was watching, probably forest rascals a.k.a. chipmunks.
They watch & chase daily... so far they have alluded capture, from all the available trees to climb and escape no doubts.
I added Arrow & the bear, neither really there. It didn't take long - most sketch book paintings take about 1 hour or less and I only have one page left. It's exciting finishing and starting new painting sketch books. I have one started dedicated to the bible starting with the garden, of course.
It's the long weekend, we're gonna sit around and watch the grass grow - ha! Hardly.. There's always much to do, gardening is on the top of the list now that the weather is cooperating, my tiny squash seeds have grown nicely - lets hope they continue to do so... just the thoughts of them has me craving the crispy, edible skin. Things to repair, clean & move around... all being followed by a team of dogs wanting to play - all day. I wouldn't want it any other way. It will be busy in the Highlands - a good reminder for me to stay home & let the tourists enjoy the parking and sight seeing that I get to do all the time. I wish all businesses are blessed with a busy first long weekend - I know many are anticipating a terrific year, after the last few 'restricted' ones. Tis the season(s) for company, campfires (be aware of local fire bans) & fun & frolic... please do not drink and do stupid shit, it seems to be a cottage mentality' which I completely understand and remember from many moons ago, when I had to drive '2 guests' to the emergency room due to drunken antics. The emergency Dr. educated me (and I'm educating you) "they have enough to do normally than to deal with careless drunks every weekend".
Ouch - but true. Everything in moderation.
Enjoy yourself and get much done - if that's what you desire to do.
Below is a photo for you to find the toad, for those that might not have a garden. Created to create!
