Let it be..
I enjoyed painting the last Kermit so much, I created another & it was indeed equally as enjoyable.
The red is a nice contrast to kermit.
I decided to call it ‘let it be…” & as I started to passionately paint Kermit the song played on my apple playlist. Perfect.
I’d like to send some love out to the universe with this painting… there are things happening and being discussed that I never thought I’d witness, situations read previously only in science ‘fiction’ books.
Jordan Peterson mentions numerous times how the threat of nuclear was an obsession of his as as kid - me too!
I see it in my paintings, now. Memories of being crouched under my desk at school as a tiny child, as the teacher explained - 'Just in case’ safety precautions, have obviously stuck with me.
It left me thinking about todays tiny kids.. in the classroom, masked, distancing, washing, not socializing, hearing conversations of vaccinations (they are smarter than most realize those tiny beings) all for: Just in case’ safety precautions. If I still think about nuclear war threats - 50 years later- how to you think it will effect this generation.
What are we allowing?
“Let it be…” Do we just sit, sing and play the banjo?
Will we - Let it be?
