Who Mew? When I woke today Alexa told me it was international Cat day!
I already had a canvas Cat/Chat on the easel - started yesterday.. what do I do when don't know what to paint? Paint something inspired by another. I've wanted to do this kitty for a long time & now I have with a Georgia Toons twist.. Cannabis in a glass represents in my mind: Everything in moderation but preferably go with the bud.
Enjoy it ALL & Thank God. Painted with gold details it shines lovely in the kitchen sunlight!
I pondered changing his smile but I didn't because the original is quite 'cheeky looking and I feel it suits this feline just fine. It looks terrific in my bright green kitchen!
Jesus in the background is not finished.. He smiles at me as I paint.
I'm painting a canvas every other day it seems & the stretching is good for me! Working at my desk 8 hours a day (or more) is not that healthy so this forces me to switch it up.
My current problem is Ginger wanting to sleep on my lap as I paint... I move too much but I let her try anyhow, the dogs are enjoying the new painting space as much as I am.
I have to keep busy - If I stop and thing about TRUMP and his hatred I get miserable, I read an article knocking the younger generation for feeling PTSD due to Trump - Of course he is causing some PTSD! Imagine thinking he is going to be responsible for the fate of future Americans... I feel I should paint something 'RED hat hatred' related but I'm not sure I want to focus any energy on the ass or his hats. If I was in the USA and saw someone wearing that hat, I'd have to turn and go the other direction - as the disgust would be evident on my face.
Trump is Hitler reborn.
DID you know.. YOU should pay cash or debit for your cannabis. Paying with your credit card makes it easy for the border to access records if they choose.
They can not access Canadian debit transactions.
Cannabis is still illegal in most of the USA, eh. Beware. Be Aware.

P.S. here is a wonderful article on Adam, the young man I painted the cannabis in the maple syrup can for. It's bee nice to watch Adam & Erin succeed, they are lovely people imo.
