I'm excited for the plant - for the garden, for the humming birds! They love cannabis.
& it won't be long now - with experience - comes education, with education comes realization. Realization that cannabis is far less harmful than other recreational substances.
I flipped through the Sun on the weekend (Norm still wants to read it) and read a few stories regarding cannabis, 'the global marijuana march' had just taken place - I forgot.
I have no desire to attend these events. These events bring out all sorts for all reasons- mostly to PARTY. Some are enjoying more than JUST cannabis - not my business- I also don't like how parks & nature are taken over and left in the condition they usually are.
Cannabis/Marijuana is always in the news lately and most of it I'm already aware.. Storm saw me reading something last week from CBC and said "really, what there don't you know already?." He was correct - I was wasting my time. I do not believe when we are legal soon - that you will get arrested for smoking a joint on the street, even police will have difficulties such as 'smell complaints' - good luck with that. Do you know some chemical in the printing industry has just been proven to cause leukaemia in people who work with it - a court case was won (in Canada) for the worker- but the story ended with stating it's still used in numerous ways and countless people work with it. WTF? This especially upset me as I know people who have worked in the printing industry- several. Family & friends both worked at one time for the Star... and used printing plates which they mention.
I am beyond tired hearing this bullshit about cannabis.
I KNOW. 10 years now and Storm was 14 when he started - THANK GOD!
Canadian as a whole are becoming more educated about cananbis on all levels. Starting in our grade schools, apparently... who is going to continue to go along with such bullshit when they understand cigarettes kill- cannabis does not. Alcohol kills countless.. opiates & tide pods... RESEARCH it, if you do not believe me. What judge will even tolerate it in court when it's a fact- Children in Canada are being sexually abused & human trafficking (I'm not sure the pre-tense) is increasing. Children! If you don't think it's happening, you don't want to know. With 'drugs' out of the way focus & resources can be directed on what matters 'people'. I feel we will let past offences for cannabis drop - people will finally get out of jail that should NOT be there. People will not go to jail for cananbis in Canada in the future- and not for walking down the street smoking a joint. Unless your doing other stuff you shouldn't.
Justin Trudeau does not say too much on cannabis 'itself' I've noticed- because he knows the truth, he has consumed. So what. I hope he does - what a stressful job, judged for absolutely everything from your socks to your handshake. Thank God he is compassionate and educated and a gentleman.
I wish DONALD with sit back and have a joint or two dozen... it won't kill him- let him just CHILL for a while and perhaps have an enlightened moment - GUNS kill Americans FIRST.
Anyhow- I can't wait! It's got me hopeful and happy, I also know more children dealing with serious health issues will be helped. Childhood arthritis? Try cannabis first - it is not proven to damage little organs like other medications. As a matter of fact- research seems to showing it's HELPING.
Will someone gt hurt when legalization is here - Probably- Stupid people do stupid things and sometimes - Accidents do happen. I'm more concerned UN-knowledgable people will mix' and just like you shouldn't mix your BOOZE don't mix your booze with your buds- until you know how to handle them.
