I love Kermit the frog & his wisdom, & creativity. Kermit makes me smile.. simple.
Not sure where I'll put him' now that he is painted, for now he rests in the living room reminding me to BE & smile.
He took 3 days of solid painting believe it or not, with a few breaks here & there & it's almost as tall as me.
I was also inspired by a stunning Beehive photo my friend Ezra took - I've never seen one so perfect, I will attempt to paint it more realistic another day- but it was the perfect touch for the top of this nature scene.
Perhaps when I next paint Pooh I'll attempt the BeeHive again.
I've been feeling very bummed (as if all this covid crap was not enough), we had to give the goats away and I cried for a couple of days. I miss their faces, nuzzles & noses trying to eat my housecoat & kisses... but they went to a really good home with lots of room to roam, so that made it o.k.. Instead of thinking of them gone, I've been trying to focus on what a terrific experience they were and the gift from God, Little Nugget- our unexpected blessing - who knew we'd see a goat being birthed!? Giving all three away to the same person/place was also a blessing, we can visit them too! I'll wait till next spring. I've been trying to focus on art to keep my mind distracted & help my heart heal, staring into smiling Kermits face - was a good idea.
Norms been busy too! He power washed the sauna & it looks brand new & built a new wood shelter- to keep it dry - all from recycled material & pallets so the wood will still get airflow to dry it out yet keep it from being covered with snow.
I was impressed. I think Norm misses the goats more than I do, but he too understands why we had to let them go.
Anyway- grateful for each day we focus on all that is good. God will focus on the rest.
I read in the bible... Eat the fat & drink the sweet wine! Celebrate each day, do not be sorrowful.
God wants us to be JOYFUL goats or no goats. We still have chickens and babies - which are fun to watch.
We are grateful for the experience & the friends who took them to their new home.
I hope Kermit made you smile... on to the next project! By the grace of God.
