Fall is officially here, the leaves are starting to layer the driveway and everywhere I look I am inspired to paint. I was praying and decided to go for a walk and saw this rock - Jesus reminding me I am loved. I brought it home to paint. lol
I actually did not paint for two days, one we had company & the next I didn't feel so great (too much fun the day before). It's been a busy couple of days but I'll be back at my desk today painting a couple of Christmas cards of all things - when the mood strikes - create. My mom and I walked the woods - her first time through and she looked for mushrooms, I believe it was her first foray & she enjoyed herself. We both did, the dogs too as every time nanny sat for a break -so did they. It's nice to have human company exploring the woods (sometimes) to point out a few things I've learned as well as just enjoy sharing the beauty with another.
What a difference & enjoyable experience with NO mosquitos, Ginger had a tick on her, walking in nature it's bound to happen occasionally. We've been walking & taking many photos as the contrasting colours amaze & I'll have an abundance of material to paint. It's busy here during this time of year - tourists up to see the trees, there's lots to do and see & several great places to eat. The tiny restaurant close to us 'The Millpond' recently had a renovation and made it even more welcoming and cosy, the food always good. It's a perfect time to visit. Below a few fall photos to enjoy - maybe they'll inspire you to paint.
