Good Friday.
It’s Good Friday, Praise Jesus.
It’ also Easter stuff.. like painting eggs, thinking spring and consuming chocolate bunnies. I’ll paint eggs, no longer a fan of chocolate bunnies. I painted a painting of painted eggs, Prissy it is. Warner Brothers cutest hen… “Yesssssss….”
Spring has sprung, snows gone and cleaning begun, inside first then outside… the house smells like: DOG.
I don’t mind the scent so much but it definitely needs some fresh air. Then it will be time to clean up last years garden residue before planting begins.
Bow & Arrow - these two…. Bow is amazing! Bow is a dog clearly, in his mind & now when I call the dogs and they all come running, he’s usually last and shows off and flies by all but Arrow, AND for spite and a laugh he often jumps OFF of Gingers back in the process - you can see she’s already use to his cheekiness and hardly even acknowledges Bow. They all come in and wait for a treat- Bow too. Last night Bow didn’t come but I could hear his bell…
Oh my Gosh - I looked for the bell and there he was at least 30 feet up a pine!! He was trying to come to my calls - and it was brutal as his “mom” to watch.. down a branch, slipped & hit a few, grasping for the truck, dangling upside down, repeat - it took him about 5 minutes as I stood holding my breath.
What a good boy is Bow… coming when he was called and thank God- if it had gotten any darker, Bow might have spent the night clinging to a branch. When Bow finally got low enough to jump - he jumped & looked at me and lay at the base of the tree too tired to continue and relieved he made it, no doubts.
I thought he was hurt. He was just in shock, I think. I had to carry him in and gave him a through ‘going over’ looking for cuts or broken bones… he liked the body rub. Today, he’s fine… let’s hope it was a lesson learned.
A bell on your kitty will help keep him from catching birds (hopefully) but it is also a great way to find your cat.. just in case it’s stuck in a pine tree.
Good news on Good Friday - yay!
