International women's day!
Celebrate woman today buy purchasing & reading one of their books - and YOU will celebrate YOURSELF and give yourself one of the best gifts we can give ourselves- an education to become better humans. With a wider education we have a wider understanding of — each other.
Norm gifted me a KOBO and I’m grateful, not being able to hold a book due to arthritis, I have slowed on reading which is ‘depressing for one who enjoys reading… needless to say - I have already read 2 books in 1 weekend.
Five Little Indians by Michelle Good What an education, we all need to better understand & cultivate compassion. Frig this book made me mad, sad.. cry be happy & hopeful. How did this abuse happen, who would agree with this? …& NO wonder!!! A Canadian education (late in life) and one I’m not proud of Canada for - although.. I don’t think if everyone knew - it would happen.. still - clearly - enough knew. Is it still happening? Yes.
Infinite Country by Patricia Engel Family dreams from conception torn apart from by ignorance from both/all sides. What a wonderful book - journey about love and hardship. I read about this when in California but this book takes you on the journey. Messed up, understood reality of THE ‘American Dream’ My Kobo tells me how long I read for… time flies when having fun. Never is it : time wasted - unlike how I feel after watching some movies.
I think I’m a fast reader or novels are getting too short. ;)
I’d watch these movies… knowing the books are better.
I have many strong women in my life- many who read too! lol
Books: All the wiser with every page we turn. Just like Life.
What are YOU reading?
It's a gift, a luxury to sit around and read I thank God for it.
Pandemic or not.
Celebrate today with a woman author & cup of tea & education.
