Mushrooms are everywhere in the forest! I'm sure I've only found a few -today Im searching for lions mane for the brain.
How beautiful are these little marvels? Mushrooms inspire paintings -the coral mushroom is on the easel today, I'm paining a set of tiny mushrooms - simply because of the abundance!
Below are some of the fungi treasures we found, my adventures always include my dogs- of course.
The dogs' never appear to have any desire to digest any mushrooms, they hardly even give them a sniff- if they do it's more because they are curious as to what has moms attention. Train your dogs. If I see my dogs smelling and putting something in their mouths I yell "DROP IT!!!" - They do. This training starts at home often with a piece of meat, it takes a while but when they drop it - they are rewarded with a guaranteed tasty treat from the cookie jar. If you have a puppy start NOW, this will avoid your dog eating others pooh - which they do.

What is a pizza without mushrooms- or an omelette? Not nearly as tasty, imo. ;)
If you can get out an explore the forest - look for mushrooms on the ground & up in trees.
Don't eat any (I never eat any RAW mushrooms anymore- not even from the grocery store) unless you are positive they are safe to do so. We're back out in a week to collect some turkey tail for tea once it gets a little larger
