I'm grateful to them for sharing their gift- this artist in particular is by far one of the most talented I've seen. I also appreciate he uses gouache.

If you want to become a better 'anything' you must work at it constantly..
better artist, cook, bird whisperer .. human.
I thought Id have some fun and here is my result... I use black paper so I had to paint all around the kitty, the thing about imitating others, you never get it the same- good!
It was more a lesson in "watching" than anything else.. I would not even attempt one of his 'beautiful girls' - he has a style all his own. Don't be intimidated by other artists - ever.
Everyone can achieve their own style - it's fun to try something different and with gifted artist like this 'showing' us what to do- the key is... just KEEP doing it over & over.
Never mind the painting- the process is lovely.
Do not expect to get results like a artist who draws every day- if you do not.

His level of detail is incredible... seeing the two kitties side by side made me giggle, I can see my style 'creep into his with this Halloween Black Fungi kitty! lol
