If 2021 was a cartoon character it would be TAZ.
We all have a bit of 'Taz' in us, and I bet 2021 brought him out in a few.
Just ask everyone who 'lost it' in a store because they had to mask up, or in traffic or at work or anywhere where you lost control & lost your temper and became a whirlwind - twirling out of control. Some getting angry over something that wouldn't even phase you on other days. Don't be too hard on yourself if you turned into Taz - you are not alone.
Floods, fires and freezing all hit B.C. like never before, never mind during a pandemic. I read this past week in B.C. it felt like -53 YIKES - Brass monkeys beware! That's just Canada - the rest of the world didn't fare much better, some actually worse. 2021 will be a year to remember and forget, lessons learned- time to continue FORWARD, for me it was pretty much a blur with both negative & positive lessons... all lessons eventually for good.
2021 started with covid and ended with covid - Omicron... spreading fast than Taz through a zoo.
After 2 vaccines and booster (one of a few) it has not controlled covid - I think it's time to re-evaluate vaccines and definitely vaccine mandates - for something proven not to stop or prevent one from catching covid. I still don't understand shutting down small business - yet schools, and ice arenas are full of fans. Hospitals admitting some people working have covid - but must work because of shortages - because they fired those who refused vaccines.. it makes absolutely no sense. 2021... confused- you are not alone. It appears people are starting to question & ask questions.
2021 crumbles away with just a couple days left, talks of continued lockdowns - possibly a return to home schooling's after the holidays and New Years Eve parties, fireworks & other events cancelled - just like Taz a tornado of destruction without a care for anyone or anything in his path and no definite reason, really. Many will be happy about seeing the tail end of 2021 gone. If it means we are one year closer to ending covid and awakening to other options - options for the greater good of all - bring it on.
Just like all of us, Taz has two sides... tomorrow is another side of Taz and 2022 on the way.
