I realized last night why I was as angry as I was.. I'm sick of the mindset.
I'm frustrated with the continued STILL negative mindset surrounding cannabis - if you like it or not - IT is NOW legal in Canada - deal with it.
It's the mindset of so many (still brainwashed) who are so quick to judge cannabis consumers & many STILL have no issues with raising a glass or two as they do. It''s comments about 'too many drugs' in our community made by someone who sells alcohol -which is a serious problem in Georgina- just ask the police who publish impaired drivers photos.
It's being immersed in this 'cannabis community' for over 10years & understanding the true harms of cannabis - other peoples ignorance is the biggest harm still. It's knowing how many children how have been helped - had their pain eased from suffering from terrible conditions - all with cananbis - yet - I'm still surrounded by ignorance on a daily basics - I get it. I've also learned to say to people: please, when you have read this, this, this and this - let's have this conversation again - because I have spent the past 10 years plus learning about my son's & my medicine & I KNOW once people learn what I have - they would not be having the same conversation they are having today. They would know & understand. Most won't even attempt to read...
It's easier to remain ignorant- you're too busy, too tired, overworked to read a book on a topic your not really that interested in, it's easier to follow the pack- even if they too are uneducated - look at Trump fans.. It's easier to turn on the T.V & zone out.
I went to bed yesterday, cried, grumbled & read to occupy my mind & was successful.
I'm currently reading:How to change your mind . Perfect timing.
Instead of being angry I'll be grateful for the education & enlightenment. The Botany of Desire was a fascinating book - at a time when I NEEDED to learn about cannabis- it was perfect! It was such an enjoyable book - I've read it twice! This book is already blowing my mind & I am grateful for the education - me - and the many millions more - I hope.
This continued MINDSET- keeping cananbis illegal and seen as something bad/negative is wrong- borderline harassment - especially to those who still consider cannabis a MEDICINE which I do, it is shameful behaviour fuelled by politicians (equally uneducated) but I realized, I'm not the one who is stuck, refusing to be educated, open minded - refusing to grow - go ahead... it's not the direction I'll take. I'll continue on the path to enlightenment... the reason God has us all here - while the rest continue to judge on a topic they don't understand or care to.
Soon.. the truth can't be hidden forever & even the slowest of the slow will realize in time.
This past week I read (was educated on years ago) & have tried to teach- get you kids pets! It is now being advised by our health organization to introduce babies (children) to germs & allergens sooner to AVOID health complications later in life. As Storm was growing up I noticed the kids who were always sick or had allergies were kids who lived in immaculate homes with no pets - so clean you could eat off the floor - at the time I was envious - as my house has never been that clean- lol. Storm was given eggs, peanut butter and hairy beasts & countless dust bunnies from the moment he showed interest and as far as I'm aware he has no issues with allergies.
How to change your mind... Start with a book.
Then try a joint.
