You know.. some might not appreciate my illustrations suitable for children in the cannabis garden of LOVE. If you think I've not given this serious thought, especially in light of the upcoming ridiculous expectations surrounding the "advertising of cannabis IN California or Canada next year - OR rather LACK of what you will be permitted to do or NOT do - - I've given it much contemplation. I've been made aware I'm considered controversial' or 'Flaky' - for encouraging my child to use 'marijuana' - Phhhhbt - judge away. This is not something I ever take lightly.. painting my creatures in Cannabis fields.
Cannabis is a Medicine. Cannabis is a medicine that can and has and will continue to help seriously ill children and I will never stop drawing about it - with Children in mind.
It's my purpose. I care more about it than a medicine for adults, although it is my medicine as well - thank God. GOOD LUCK in the near future -not letting a parent of a seriously ill child try cannabis- especially for pain like early childhood arthritis for example - when a parent can prove other medications will cause their child more harm than cannabis & TRUST ME -that is not hard to prove - try- research it - Dr.s will not be able to refuse them. It will be inhumane. I've lost sleep thinking of the damage medications do to little bodies, the desperation parents feel when they watch their babies suffer.
I remember, I refuse to forget.
When Doctors (two teams of Dr.s - The Hospital for Sick Kids & The Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal) told us our son would suffer terribly and probably would not make it to his 12th birthday- I started to PRAY to GOD. I would do what ever I thought was expected. A promise I keep - always. I never expected this... yet here we are. Gratefully.
I AM more determined than ever to try to educate so NOT ONE more parent will ever see their child suffer needlessly when Cannabis can help. Had I known sooner - our son would have been eating medicated brownies as a toddler at bed time and yes I would have done what ever it took, even IF that meant going the illegal route, which i kinda did anyway.. Thank God.
That was just over 10 years ago. No regrets.
IF our government thinks they will not be assisting more children or will FEAR monger with cannabis and not allow any POSITIVE Cannabis advertising - instead of more lies - I'm going to make it personal mission to do the opposite, especially when I see that lovely FRIGGING glossy L.C.B.O magazine come delivered to MY DOOR, Booze promotion - glorification (proven deadly) - in our local newspaper- but not life saving medicine awareness - no photos of Plants? Phhhhbbbt.
