Happy Family Day.. in Canada.
It's no special day in our house... & probably isn't for many, I'm sure some still have to work but I hope those with little ones in particular, get a break. Storm is working & I'll be painting bird houses... I think I'll actually have then done by tomorrow, maybe Wednesday.
I can't really do anything else as they physically take up room, on my desk and on the studio floor. Each is painted in an assembly line after I figure out with the first- exactly what I want to achieve - first all bears, then all sweaters, then all bees, first yellow then black stripes... then all details.
They are work. I painted all day yesterday & will all day today & perhaps tomorrow... I quit when my hands hurt.
It's fun when all done and I get to see them all together. Tom, my friend who builds the house & sells the finished houses, tells me they are doing well! They sell for donations which go to several 'local causes' in the area. I'm also happy to keep Tom creating, he's older and was slacking - lol... not really, sometimes we just need a little encouragement to keep at 'it' - what ever it' is. I also like to get him going'... I told him I was making a moose..heehee. I think I tell him something different every time & then remind him "it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind..." lol
There's lots of snow still, unlike in Toronto where my friends tell me it's melted... those who enjoy winter activities have much to enjoy today! I love Piglet in this painting! He is excited for the day, as we all should be.
Each day is a gift from God to learn & grow.. keep going & keep growing.
