Today is the Day Michelangelo was born - me too!
Do you know Michelangelo was only 26 when he started to carve David & it only took him 3 years - Imagine if he had Instagram.. I bet it would have taken longer.
It is said to be the best work of art to be created by a man ever - or ever will be.
My version is of David the night after the fight.. reflecting in the garden with God.
Celebrating with some cannabis after the defeat of Goliath.
David armed only with his rock, his sling, his faith in God and his courage.
Imagine how many times his own hands caressed his statue - created with love- the pupils are actually hearts which you can only tell when the light hits it and I imagine you were up close- as only he would be.
The joke about Instagram/ social media - isn't a joke..
Imagine what you could do if you were NOT distracted by your phone a hundred times a day.. by social media and watching what everyone else is doing. Give yourself the gift of creation & allow your own talents to shine. My version of Michelangelo was just for enjoyment and a lesson in white paint (for myself) & was a challenge- as soon as I started to paint all others problems, distractions were forgotten for a while.
Persistance has taught me to paint through pain.
Do what you love as long as you can.
I'm grateful for my faith in God.
I am armed only with my paintbrush & currently Trump is Goliath. lol

Enjoy the day - I know I will... I'm going to paint a very cool foray egg hunt' & finish my big elephant & mother nature planter and more -the ideas are endless - inspired by love... I can not fail. I share the same birthdate with Michelangelo!
