Hail Mary full of grace , the Lord is with thee. Mother of Jesus. Mother of us all. I don't consider her or paint her nearly enough, I do pray the rosary & misplace my rosary - that' why this was created. A place for everything and everything in it's place. Created with Love, as always. Mostly - a reminder of God, Jesus & Marys love for us all.
It's been a bit since I painted on wood - the feel' is fantastic, also a while since I used acrylic I love the smoothness of acrylic blending. I prefer Golden acrylic - the paint, I wish paint tubes were designed different, I have a paint tube squeezer but not the strength to use it... someone should invent something small that clips onto a desk or counter to squeeze paint tubes. Georgia O'Keeffe had someone put her pain on her pallet in her later years - goals. lol

I like to surround myself with images that bring me peace. My 'Mary is perfect & useful, a lovely addition to my room where I rest, read, sketch & pray. Below are a few photos of the process, I got into it and forget to take photos. I enjoyed this project so much, a second - with my second wooden shelf is in the process! Yay! I'm thinking a Jesus shelf to go with Mary. Praise Jesus!
