Painting Jesus Christ soothes my soul.
Choose... God gives us choice as the ultimate gift. We all know right from wrong, war is no longer seen as right' as it will have too many innocent civilians this time around. I heard on a podcast - world war 4 will be fought with sticks and stones.
The (ESV) Bible phrase comes to mind lately as we witness so much suffering & destruction (around the world)
Numbers 14:11 -And the Lord said to Moses, "How long will this people despise me? And How long will they not believe in me, in spite of all the signs that I have done among them?..." Are we never going to learn - Love is the Only way.
How long is it gonna take? How much more pain & suffering? Don't play dumb.. you know what's expected.
Perhaps you don't - I hope they cover it in the new series on Netflix - The story of Moses, I'm excited to watch.
We were commenting how we don't see many raccoons, or signs of raccoons & attribute it to the dogs, thankfully. When ever you see photos online of little 'trash pandas' they always look so sweet & innocent - cute even. Ha! We had to deal with a couple at our last house that tried to move into our roof - catching them in cages to relocate. They snarled, hissed and attacked the cage -with sharp claws & huge fangs that could easily do some serious damage. Daisy killed one on the back deck here and it was brutal, I was beyond thankful when over that Daisy didn't have a scratch. There's a bigger problem in the suburbs with raccoons - smart raccoons who know the dining is finer/easier amongst humans than foraging in the woods. I've known a few who feed raccoons human scraps, not realizing the problem they are creating. I'm sure raccoons 'Praise Jesus!' when they venture into some trash containers, for the smorgasbord they received.
Who can blame them?
Thanks to human gluttony... we toss a large amount of food, much of it still edible. Grocery stores toss expired foods - maybe that's why they want to remove best before dates. Why don't we have a huge discount food store in every town? Where all expired food is sent so people who are struggling can go and shop at huge discounted prices, with 'Free' sections for items that are on their way to expire and into the trash. 'Eat at your own risk ' - after all humans also dumpster dive when hungry. Why do we deprive each other from food -to toss instead of give? A section for people to donate excess vegetables from their garden - would help keep everyone eating healthy not just raccoons. We give most of our scraps to our chickens & dogs so not much is left for wildlife, as much as I like to see all sorts of creatures, we do not encourage feeding them on the property which could potentially create problems for the dogs (&cat). As cute as they seem'... be careful with raccoons they have sharp fangs & know how to use them, not just for chomping donuts.
