Elmos explosions love gouache on black 8 x 8
Elmos recently asked people on social media - how they were doing? People responded and many were not doing well.
It's easy to talk to Elmo. When we were little we probably did have a stuffed animal we confided in, I know I did - I had several. I had a bunny puppet that was realistic, it had a metal stud in it's ear but Im not sure who made it.. I shared much with that bunny, he was easy to talk to -just like Elmo, Kermit and others we were raised with. I felt bad for Elmo, I wondered if he had a "I'm sorry I asked" moment. It's hard to stay positive with war escalating, prices escalating, tensions escalating... the revolution may not be televised but the devastation leading up to it will be. Have you seen what the farmers are doing in Europe? What our truckers did - YAY! Are there STILL truckers in jail!? I think I read there was - if so what a shameful way to treat Canadians, who tried to defend all our rights, especially after the court ruled Trudeau overstepped with the Emergency act. They should be set free & charges dropped if so.
Who isn't feeling it? I read Canadians are having a hard time with vet bills.. this I know first hand, not long ago I took the dog to a vet - it was a horrible experience on several levels, mostly because the vet hardly even acknowledged Daisy - but immediately went into a sales pitch $$$$. money for tests (Daisy is our oldest girl), a suggested $3,000. surgery to have a tooth pulled -but "she's an old dog and might not live much longer"... "she has lumps that are probably cancer and might not live long.." It was all about money. I used to work in car sales and the vibe was of a used car sales man instead of a vet. Never in all our experience did I ever have such a negative, cold vet visit. I was sharing the experience with another vet and she warned me to find out if the Veterinarian has became part of corporations and shared how many have been recently bought out. Corporate greed has taken over our pets care & they don't care, not about your 'family member' they care about the $$$ - top dollar, a test and shot for everything under the sun. With increasing price many are forced to hand over their pets and it must be heartbreaking all around. We've had pets forever and have talked about vet expenses and paid thousands over the years, I give my dogs (pets) the best life I can offer & lots of love. I actually bought this property for my girls - I wanted them to be able to explore, run, play, chase & bark. That being said - if my 15 year old dog became a diabetic and needed medicine & injections - I'll give it to God & be grateful for every day I have with my dog(s). That might sound cold but with a house full of pets, you have to make some clear, difficult decisions - if we all worried about vet bills - no one would get pets, then where will vets be? When Scruffy lost her eye (to Daisy) the Emergency VET almost had a very emotional Norm agree to getting a glass eye for a few thousand... ARE YOU *&^%$# kidding me? Norm called to discus it with me (we would have had to take out a loan!) and I said : ARE you *&^%$# kidding me? NO.
Everyone KNOWS I love my dogs but I am also realistic, dogs don't need glass eyes. It never slowed Scruffy down for one second - she was back 'snapping at Daisy' two days after the incident.
Do what you can do, they don't need toys - a stick will do. They only really want us, we are their lives and loves. I really think it's going to backfire, their greed will be their downfall. Apparently they are already starting to introduce laws and regulations to prevent practices from gouging. I feel kinda bad for the vet now if they are a corporation, the pressure is on for PROFIT & clients will turn away & look else where, as I did. A lesson learned.
Send out some loving energy! Hug & play with your pets- tomorrow is not promised for us or them!
