Any day and I'm on my way and yes I'll leave part of my heart in California!
I fell in love with the coast! The more I sat at the beach the more I wanted to just listen to the waves and watch the water, it did make me appreciate our lakes back home as well.
I'm more comfortable swimming in a lake, I guess it's how we grow up. Or an ocean with waves.. not so big. lol My courage for waves does not match their size.
By far I had the most fun with some kids I met. from 7 to 16. They made me laugh, inspired felt welcomed and loved we had the most honest conversations as always. I believe I inspired them a bit too, Eh! They know we are friendly, caring & can be fun & 53 year old women can play with stink bugs on sticks! lol
Yes... a part of my heart no doubts.
I also fell in love with the landscape - especially the wild plant life! Breathtaking.
Countless trees I've never seen and I admit I'm anxious to do some serious painting...
most will be imagined.
I have a good imagination it appears... better than I imagined.

Poppy will miss California too.. especially the 'in and out'- where they have a special patti
with no salt for her.
