George was curious. 8 x 12 gouache on white
Weeeeeeee! George was curious! Aren't you curious? Curiosity keeps us active, curiosity about everything. I'm curious about the cicada- trillions will be emerging in the USA, we might not see them up here as they don't live long. The Chinese New Year is on the 10th, I'm always curious about all holidays, traditions and celebrations - all around the world. I'm curious to learn new painting styles and techniques while coming up with new ideas daily. I'm curious about bears in winter. I'm curious about the Universe and how little we actually know about it. I'm curious about 'old wives tales and medicines used over the centuries, some mentioned in the bible. I'm forever curious to learn about God.
Are you curious? If you have been reading about psilocybin for a healthier brain - how could you NOT be curious? Especially if you are older & wiser... it's not like you want to take them to get 'high' but IF they help as much as testing alludes... how can you not want to try? The possibility of curing, avoiding dementia, re wiring the brain to heal itself.. sounds like something many would be curious about. An old wives tale is to soak golden grapes in gin and eat nine a day, once plumped up.... my arthritis is very painful lately so I'm trying the drunk raisins... so far, so good. I have them in the a.m. so they don't mess with my sleep, I'd say theres less than a shot' of gin consumed and they are tasty plump weird grapes so... I'm curious to see if I notice a change in a week or two. Back to psilocybin, mark my words in less than 2 years they will be publicly available (like Cannabis stores) & expensive if you have a prescription'. There will be Dr.s who help guide you through your trip' (hopefully experienced so they KNOW what they are talking about) and people will be amazed - at how they make you feel & think. Positive, curious about life... I have noticed myself, when taking mushrooms -I'm a little more curious about all the greens in the forest, the shape of leaves, how they all move in the wind, the awesomeness of Gods creations - especially US humans. Be curious, always.
Psilocybin or not -- being curious keeps us active, show yourself some love and become curious about a new hobby, new tradition, new medicine, new galaxy... be like George.
On a sad note, my friend Tom who built the bird houses, (I painted and he raised money for charity) passed away in December. I felt terrible, I had told Tom in the summer, I couldn't paint anymore houses as it really hurt my hands to do them. Clunky, chunky, heavy and awkward - painting on canvas is much easier. He understood, we had after all - together created over 100 for charity! Tom made more on his own and had been raising money for years, it was a small gesture on the grand scale but imagine IF everyone made such gestures we'd all be better off. He was a nice man, he suffered very much when his son passed a couple of years ago and often I could hear him 'choke up' on the phone just thinking about him. Tom had lots of grandkids and I'm sure he is missed big time, especially by his wife & daughter. Many birds and humans are better off -because of Tom.. he is of to greater adventures.
Created to create - curious about what I'm painting next? Me too.
