What a terrific weekend.
3 summers I’ve been here! Just typing that makes me & my dogs smile, exactly where God put us…. In the heart of all this natural beauty! Storm took the dogs and I to Ragged rock falls in Algonquin park, I was enjoying the journey so much I didn’t pay attention to time or distance.
It was Arrows first truck ride and she did pretty good! Other than getting car sick. Hee hee, which we thankfully had disinfecting cloths in the car (covid currency) so it was cleaned, quickly.
A few more adventures & I’m are she’ll be calling: Shotgun!! Storm had the big dogs, me the small. It was not an easy task at times- lol. & there were others there - it was a busy day in the highlands yesterday- especially att he boat launch.
Storm: Are you sure you want to go that way mom?…
Me: Yes! I know how to walk the woods you know! (on a path)
Me - On my behind.. lol he had to come lift me (with both dogs on leashes) 3 times! hahaha - never dull.
It was a little muddy from all the rain & I did pick the most difficult path, on the way down.
It was worth it! Such a fun adventure- Arrow saw another dog and didn’t know what to think, she literally flipped on the leash - I couldn’t stop giggling. Storm took a photo of us that makes me laugh every time I look at it- me with my missing fucking tooth - that I already have forgotten is missing! LOL Conversing with a stranger… Oh my, grateful for each day Lord.
We also had dinner from Rhubarb which was as always fantastic.
Dinner from The Peppermill & breakfast from the Millpond, grateful -for all the delicious food in the area that I did not have to cook, Storm even made dinner before he headed home.
A week of rain is predicted, I can’t complain when I see all Gods glory in every shade of GREEN possible.
I was hoping to have visitors but delays with the lockdown moved the time frame to, who knows? The summer if flying so I’m not going to stress over it besides I’m enjoying painting and watching how fast chicks grow! The miracle of life, everywhere.
Want to read a great, informative, handy book by a Woman, living in Ontario? This is it! Very inspiring & helpful… grateful to her for sharing her intelligence & gift.
The Sweetness of a Simple Life.
Storm noticed a mushroom growing on the leg of the coffee table Norm made, a hard one, so it won’t fall off anytime soon. So cool.
