Curious George - Explores the garden! Where is this book?
I'll admit I was not a huge Curious George fan - & believe it was in rebellion to being Called 'Curious George' when I was younger, especially by my Aunt Marine. ;) Looking back now, they are fond memories. Still it's hard not to like this curious little monkey & all the antics he gets himself into... I can't help but wonder "if only this book was available back then.. imagine all the misery it might have avoided.
Kids learn through books, every opportunity I get to EXPLORE a book store - I always end up in the kids section to admire the art, why did adult books get so boring? Traditional Curious George is what was painted, - just like I prefer the original Mickey Mouse. As fist I considered having curious George with some bongs, joints & other paraphernalia but decided against it as I like to keep the innocence of the Original character & intention. I reflect sometimes when I see others art (especially cartoons/illustrations) represented in a different 'light' I follow a cartoonist 'Beck I admire his work ethic & talent -a couple of his stickers... I'm not fond of & it's not because I'm prudish. I don't know.. it's not a direction I will go. He has a few I absolutely love like the WB Monster, his computer skills fascinate & inspire me - to continue painting. lol I can hardly keep up with online lessons never mind the actual programs - I truly like to use a paint & brush, not that I don't enjoy my ipen & iPad from time to time. Check out Beck on IG, he has something for everyone.
On my Instagram account you can see a real time video & a time-lapse of this painting.
I highly recommend "Brain Child" on Netflix - watch it & invite your kids to join you.
Next my lesson in Sacred Geometry resulted in a different sort of Bird.
