Winter wonderland - on the way! Yes, I know Halloween is tomorrow but I'm excited.
It’s a beautiful October day - most of it spent in shorts & t, graduating to a sweater & track pants by 3 in the afternoon.
My sons boyhood friend visited and it was amazing how I could look at him & I can still see the 10 year old.. warmed my heart, seems like yesterday.
4 Christmas cards were painted before 9 today! Not sure what to paint but 'needing to do so - for overseas packages- I went to Ruth Wilshaw on Youtube and had a few ideas, instantly! I love her gouache lessons, I took the Domestika & was pleased, on youtube she has many lessons in gouache - if you want to learn, I highly recommend. I would like to be a Domestika teacher.
I used her teachings with my tiny twists & paint 4 cards at a time, on watercolour paper - sectioned off using *magic tape (wide). This way you have your pallet ready, you just move box to box one colour at a time - yet each art is slightly different. Paint 4 cards at time - each one will be slightly different.
Add a bit of glitter & weeee - Christmas cards painted for special humans that I wish to share JOY. Make your own cards! Spend the time & you will see, you think of fond memories when painting cards for ‘specific people - or why send them a card? I only send my cards painted with love.
This has been a fantastic end to a wonderful summer; snow is around the corner & with it, a whole new perspective of beauty. Give yourself the gift of creation - as we were ALL created to create. Teach yourself how to paint (if you don’t know how) start with YouTube. I’m grateful for all those who share their talents on YouTube. Go create some Christmas/Holiday cards!
