Our government has made it so kids can get their medicine for free. Under 25
This is good & this is bad. This is good for the many children who take medications, which they need for numerous ailments... it will help parents already under a lot of stress with a child who is not well, mentally & financially.
I will never encourage anti-depressants for children.
Frankly, it blows my mind our government is so concerned about "cannabis & what it will do to the mind", with free medications - I wonder now how many children will be introduced to antidepressants - in pill form. Pills with numerous side effects & law suits to prove it.
Yet - cannabis, here we are- treating as if it were "a lethal, permanent mind altering , damaging drug, research the facts and most current scientific research & discover just the opposite.
I wrestle with depression daily. 1/2 of me does- no doubt. Besides my CONSTANT TN & semi facial spasm, my hand on my right side is now "crippled" - and - its re shaping itself so I cant' hold something as simple as a rag to clean a surface without causing pain. Peel a banana - buttons- forget it... & now I appear to be getting psoriasis on the hand as well - considering I paint - I' paint through the pain - or I don't paint - what am I going to do? That is when I get depressed - when can't Do anything. I'm 53 and I' have to watch 1/2 of my body deteriorate different from the other 1/2 - whats not to be depressed about- Depression is part to life - the tricks to work through it.
Depressed people are some of the strongest I've met.
With legalization more in general will experiment * and some self discovery will happen (once the initial hype passes) and a realization of "feeling better" self medicating - perhaps less pills will be needed. Are you aware the gentleman who created Alcoholics anonymous was able to stop his drinking due to the use of LSD - another "fry your mind drugs"- we've been mislead about is also clinically being used to treat people with serious addictions to more harmful drugs.
Being depressed is bad enough, judgement without knowledge or understanding only intensify the feelings. Who cares what anyone one uses- young or old- to help ease their pain, I'd rather my child try medicated edibles for any condition cannabis has proven to help rather than get them to take other more harmful & addictive options. I've lived with it, I have watch it now for over 10 years. I've seen how both types of medicine affected our own son, I know how they both affect me. Thank God for Cannabis.
