Happy Family weekend, here in Canada.
It’s going to be a terrific weekend and there’s ton’s to do in this winter wonderland -before it melts. Skiing, snowmobiling Haliburton forest always looks like a great adventure, I’ve never visited the Wolf habitat yet - but it seems to be a great hit.
Abby Gardens always has something happening with goodies & brewery, trails & many restaurants in Minden, Carnarvon & Haliburton. All with some fresh snow! It will be a busy weekend - hopefully some great family memories will be made, especially after the past couple of years under restrictions.
I was wide awake at 3 today. Up, got the wood stove blazing since it was 15degrees in here - it sure gets you moving quickly. What’s the point of staying in bed when you can’t sleep? Painting by 5, made breakfast and now pondering a nap -lol. Todays painting I did earlier in the week… Pooh has recycled his empty hunny jar & ready to do some trimming - a golden harvest in mid winter.
All the destruction happening to our neighbours to the south & around the world… train wrecks carrying toxic chemicals leading to birds, pets, animals drying, factories going up in flames, water & land poisoned.. balloons & aliens shot own… I fin it difficult posting on social media - cute paintings’.
It feels fake yet at the same time, I don’t even know what to think about happenings, there’s nothing funny about any of it and I have many Americans on my mind… wondering if they are safe.
Painting helps me not become absorbed, about something I have no control over... but it’s on my mind.
A list of potential pedophiles should be released soon - a flight log to Epstein Island. I don’t know about anyone else but I am so turned off by ‘Hollywood’ lately, you couldn’t pay me to watch some ‘Award show with an audience filled with fakes - all after the golden idol. ‘Fans too, esteem their favourite actors as golden idols, forgetting they are all just Actors. When this list comes out, I won’t be watching anything - anyone on it, has created or been in. Not now or ever. Watching would be encouraging, even rewarding possible pedophiles.. why else go to an island owned, run by a well known, charged pedophile.
Right now, I’ll enjoy the day, a walk in the woods, finish my book, painting some Bambi tribute, baking and pondering warmer days ahead. I hope if you have little ones, you are doing some fun family stuff, they’ll be grown before you know it.
