What a lovely weekend, weather wise…
We ventured into the woods and Bow followed us… I debated turning back but thought; He’s only going to do it every opportunity he gets, so I’ll use this opportunity to train him.
We kept going and I soon noticed Arrow doesn’t take her eyes off of Bow. At anyone time I can say to Arrow: Go get Bow! Arrow looks around then promptly bolts to Bow, Bow seeing Arrow coming - usually jumps up a tree as he knows he’s going to be pummelled (for a second), as if to say: Stay with us!… or else.
Deep into the woods, Bow always lagging behind but always in sight, would come bouncing like Pepe Le Pew when I stop and called him. Bow behaves like the dogs… raised by dogs, I guess it’s to be expected. 30 minutes in the woods, we turn around with Bow close behind. Ginger enjoy Bows company too.. at one point I think Bow was getting tired as he tried to get into my mushroom basket, not happening.. I’m not about to carry Bow through the woods. He can keep up or keep out. I’ll take them several times a day and bring treats to encourage Bow to keep doing what he does, as he is part of our pack. No mushrooms were to be found, yet.
A Documentary on Netflix: Stories we tell.
Filmed in Toronto, it tells the tale of one family, their mother & their lives, loves & lies. It had me feeling somber & angry, especially that this woman was publicly shamed in the newspaper & lost her children, because she had an affair- did that ever happen a man? I doubt it. Her 2n husband admits, he lied to his wife until he ‘had married' her, a relationship based of false intentions. Her first husband was upset because she wasn’t preforming her domestic wifely duties as he expected… who suffered for it the most- the children, when he made sure, their mother was only permitted to see them once a month. How often does this happen - no wonder many relationship end in divorce. Built on Lies. She was expected to just put up with it, for the rest of her life, she dies.. I think she probably died inside sooner than her actual demise. Who wants to admit they’ve made a mistake that they are expected to live with - for the rest of their lives, not feeling like a marriage but a jail sentence…. No one I know.
It’s an eye opener in many ways, including the woman’s now adult daughters all getting divorced. It certainly was not a life of joy.. not the life life God wants us to live. If someone tells me they are getting a divorce - I congratulate them & wish them well on their continue journey… Praying it’s joyful.
We're out to explore & paint, a perfect start to this lovely May day.
May-BE we'll find some she antlers - that would be exciting.
Today, I rest in God.
No other place I'd rather be.
