Two nights ago 'At Last...' by Etta James played on my comp (only music I've had) and I belted it out! AT last... My love has come along.. the forest, bluejays & dragonfly!
I've been offline till today- which was perfect for unpacking. Almost done!
The bird deck was a priority (of course) & it took the bluejay alomost a full week before they tried my nuts... which drove me a little nuts. lol
I wrote this earlier:
About the move.. our son Storm when his dad said “I have to look into getting a truck” - said: I’ll look after everything.
I was too busy packing to think about it honestly & left it to them… the morning of the move I was up and had my truck packed at 7:00a.m. with my giant snail strapped on the top of the boxes - soon after that Storm arrived with a trailer & friend & co worker Brian whom I now call Woody due to the resemblance to Woody the actor - not the toy… they started to load the trailer, I left with one friend Geoffrey following in his pick up.
Many smiles and a few waves & someone yelled out “Gary!! You’ve got Gary in your truck!” lol - Garry from SpongeBob - I knew who he was talking about. I was at the empty house for what seemed only about 2 hours when they arrived! Storm, Brian, Mike & Justin (all work together & all friends) & they ALL ROCKED! I was blown away… I went to get takeout at the local Brewery & restaurant ‘Rhubarb’ & by the time I got back they were almost done unloading! & gone shortly after - now that all my fragile items have been packed & not one singe Royal Doulten finger was broken- lol everything has arrived safely.
I know they are hard workers but talk about impressed! If they were professional movers I’d be raving to everyone to hire them but they are ALL Growers - hard workers. Growers in my experience are such good guys I believe it’s because they care about a plant.. I have to thank Kevin also- where would i be without you!? Still in Keswick - lol The overwhelming feeling I have since we arrived is: LOVED.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you!
You will have no doubts when you drive up this driveway this house belongs to artist(s) 2.
A painter & a woodworker. Norm is just as excited - in ONE day what we accomplished - we ARE an amazing team. lol Little arguing - amongst all these boxes - wow. I feel at Peace! I wake up smiling & go to sleep smiling - it’s so dark!
Let me tell you about my first “blonde” moment - I was in bed looking out my windows - watching countless fireflies and noticed the light on the railings and plants on my bird deck out my window.. but it’s SO dark- I must have left an outdoor light on… I don’t know where the light switches are yet & no, I did not think to have flashlight, I went to turn off the light that was clearly still on lighting the bird deck… stubbing my toes, tripping over boxes only to realize after checking all the lights - It was the MOON!
LOL - I tried to turn off the moon.
I giggled myself to sleep.
I know this is where we belong I thank God for putting these people in our life - on our path, who helped us get here- more than I realize.
The dogs & LOVING it, of course.
I still have unpacking to do before I start to play- and my studio is just setting up! I can't help it - I end up outside in the beauty called my backyard - it's so hot today - my house feels air conditioned... yet I find I am already imagining the fall & winter - in our new home.
No internet was nice - no Trump - lol Who knew these tiny things could be such big blessings!
I have it now thanks to a wonderful young man named Rob - & our first visitor to the property -the dogs approved too. Back to work - Boxes still to unpack!
