I use to think it was the other way around..
I use to think being mindful/mindFULL was just that, keep busy.. go go go.
Accomplishing several things at once yet not feeling full' at all.
Slowing down- sitting doing nothing- listening to the birds sing, looking at the vibrancy of the blue sky.. watching a preying mantis, butterfly and even an ant can restore a calm in seconds that I hardly realized was missing.
Above all else it makes one realize what they truly do want & do not want from life.
I realize I struggle with- when it comes to my own peace a few things.. I can't seem to ignore as hard as I try:
People who let their dogs cry outside all day. &* probably without water.
Kids screaming.
Drunks.
When you KNOW someone is lying.
People who are incapable of saying sorry.
Happiness over content.
People (men & women) who use thier power to treat others like trash.. women can be equally as nasty as men, but men by far take the lead on sexual abusers in history, the workplace & homes.
Child predators
Animal abusers
People who never stop looking at their cellphones.
Mindless television
Wasting food
People who are 'all about the money'.
Trump
War
Mental illness is on the increase- because most are Mindless - just going through the motions like robots, over worked & stressed tired and sick. It amazes me - how many jump on the 'mental illness bandwagon' but then expect those around them to be bubbly & happy!
& do not know how to handle them so they shame, abandon and ignore & we wonder why mental illness is on the rise- along with medications.
Become mindful, become healthy, become peaceful.
What makes me feel peaceful...
Painting
walking in nature
being with my dogs.
gardening
reading
CREATING
listening to kids laughing & dogs barking. *there is a difference between dogs saying 'hello' and lonely dogs crying all day.
Watching the birds
Chats with friends
Imagining' day dreaming - positive lovely experiences
Following my own path
Praying
What will I do today?
Be as mindful as possible starting with feeding the BLUEJAYS!
