Time flies.. This is my last bear of 2023. I took a break from painting to organize my paint, I actually found new paint not even opened -exciting (to me), so better organization was needed. I've also had a sinus infection that has lingered since before the holidays but I feel it's on it's way out. I painted this bear -just to paint. I woke to find he had dirty paint water splashed on the border- lesson learned - I have a cat again. I'll have to put tinfoil on my desk at night -or make sure art is put away.. cats will do what cats will do. Luckily his sweetness makes up for his cheekiness... he also loves Poppy and it's very amusing to watch. I don't think she's as amused.
Are you making New Years resolutions? Not me, my goal is to get better at painting... same goal different year.
I'd like to paint more humans and have a new tiny sketchbook, I'll dedicate to portraits -and Jesus in particular, my favourite portrait to paint. I gave up alcohol completely & notice an improvement with my psoriasis, at least it doesn't seem so itchy or painful - so it's easy to refrain. I am content with my weight', not to skinny or too chubby. Ginger on the other hand will go into 2024 on a diet. I have no desire to travel -if anything I travel in my mind using books and plan on reading a few. I guess it sounds boring to most - peaceful to me. Having someone pass a couple of weeks ago has been the gentle reminded that time flies - here today -gone tomorrow. I plan of spending more quality time with a few real humans & less time online, t's easy to be distracted' & the next thing you know - 2 hours have passed - 2 hours I could have been creating for the creator. I think I'll start the new year painting different creatures & will try to send out more birthday cards this year - to brighten someones day - my favourite way.
I also plan on inspiring with art inspired by the Word of God. That's how I'll start 2024 - how about you?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Thanks for visiting - lets hope (&pray) 2024 is a more peaceful year for all!
