Alice in Glitter land (which you can't see in this image) 7 x 10
Rewatching the classic Disney I remembered how neat' it was to watch the caterpillars smoke, in hindsight it's probably not a good thing, neither is Alice drinking or eating something simple because she reads to do so.' She eats a mushroom after the caterpillar informs her: one side will make her bigger - the other smaller. Albeit she shows some restraint by only taking a taste, still it's not a great lesson to teach kids. I had a friend in elementary school, who thought the Flintstones were real people... not everyone gets 'it's just a cartoon'. After watching Vape on Netflix where they discuss the attraction of the large puff of smoke, I must agree - it's always been something of fascination to me, I love watching smoke twist & twirl - luckily, not enough to convince me to start smoking. I encourage you to watch - especially if Vaping.
I remember meeting the creator of the pax' (& had one) at one of the EXPOs and thought he was very nice, polite & quiet... I believe his intentions started off being good: to help smokers of cigarettes have a better/safer option. It sure made it easier, safer & quicker to medicate cannabis when out and about. I don't think he was treated fairly and don't consider him a "monster" - really? There are humans doing much worse, intentionally. Also - it was not his product that killed a few and made many sick - that was by monsters who substituted something they KNEW would make people sick, just to make money - with no concern for others. Haven't we all learned by now, many things are created not understanding the full impact for years to follow/come. How many drugs has the FDA approved and out on the shelves only to later discover they actually kill and make some very sick? Too many to mention. I have a vape and still use it - but I have only ever used cannabis - no added ingredients, like Mango flavouring. No sweet tasting artificial crap.
Greed took over - sales shot through the roof and temptation was to big to pass up. - who knows what that is like until you are in the same situation (many wish to be).. and greed for more from the consumers - more flavours, a bigger hit', more nicotine, more smoke, more, more. No doubts many consume alcohol & vape & take pills for all that ails them or just for fun. When does Alice take responsibility for her poor choices? We see people taking it to extremes, as they always do. As we see in the documentary one young woman, nearly died - is still vaping. Why is this the fault of the creator?
Everyone blames the creator when things go wrong - and not their choices.
I use to think cananbis was not addictive, now understanding to humans - everything can potentially become addictive. People with 50 cats - are addicted to cats, people 400lbs are addicted to food, chances everyone knows an alcoholic. Everything can be an addiction... it's more about the individual then it is the product.
I knew it was going to be a problem, attracting kids... the real problem, is lack of education. I don't think it's wise to vape anything except pure bud or tobacco...I guess it's lesson many will find out and change when they experience a negative side effect. I don't know what makes anyone become addicted to anything, but I will try not to judge, especially after learning how many become addicted to deadly substances like opiates, after being hurt and think it will help alleviate their pain - only to have it rule & ruin lives, recommended by their trusted doctors...
Alice got carried away by all the temptations, too much to choose from - therein lies the real problem.
Choose wisely.
It's so enjoyable painting with this shimmering paint as the sun lands on my desk.. it's addicting to watch! ;)
