Sitting on the fence... just waiting.
Has anyone else noticed a side effect of covid - The covid excuse?
It seems like it's the response for everything lately...
Prices are up covid. Cancelled - covid. Back log - covid. Screw ups - covid.
Drinking more - covid. Weight gain - covid. Abuse on the rise- covid.
Nothing to do - covid. Can't get something - covid shortage.
Housing prices rising - covid. Anxiety rising - COVID.
I am also aware of many who are not using covid as an excuse for anything & are still active, helpful, healthy and energetic & creative & productive! Is covid a 'frame of mind'?
It appears so, for some. I know my muffin top is attributed to increased baked goods - comfort covid feeding but I am also aware I've gotten lazy - covid. No need to dress (PJ life) - covid. Why Shower - no company during covid.
Why keep active, curious, helpful - hopeful... because covid will be over & excuses will be seen for what they are. Excuses.
This too shall pass.
I've been taking some online painting lessons, they have me excited for a new level of exploration with paint & ideas! Created to create.
Covid is not an 'excuse', it is a lesson - teaching all of us.
