ROM with my son.

We went to visit the ROM.. Storm told me Monday, “we're going to the ROM tomorrow." Instantly my mind started to come up with a reason - tomorrow might not be good...
NO. GO.
I am thrilled we did.

& at times- as you will see from the photos- I wisecracked- Did you rent the place out privately for me?’ It was perfect!

'Once' we were surrounded with kids - and the other times- we hardly noticed them and many occasions we had entire exhibits alone- it was a flawless day filled with laughter, interest & more

Thanks to my son for the ROM FUN - I have been wanting to go for a long time. I can’t believe we walked it all and took our time; I loved every step, gem, statue, pot, picture, animal, staircase, wall, corner… mostly I loved the day out with my son.

A gentleman from 'TEXAS' sent me a message on instagram:
He would enjoy my work more - if I did not draw cannabis in it."
That's Nice... was my first thought.
I checked out his page, saw his little baby girl- so cute & replied to his message:
Cannabis is responsible for saving my sons life & I had no intentions of stopping,
it's how I educate. He unfollowed me.
That's nice.

Texas was my first clue he might 'unfollow.
What is with people- was I harming this fellow?
Why comment a negative remark on a strangers page, was mine the most upsetting post he saw that day? lol

I am not upset in anyway.
I painted my bears today with LOVE, thinking about it, feeling it, bringing it.
Smiling. I have tomorrows poem & bears in mind & yes, it's perfect, if I do say so myself. Sent to me (a positive message) by another on IG. Balance. lol

Many people will never UNDERSTAND until they are living with or dealing with something themselves before they can really comprehend the situation. It is that simple. I'm sure if he daughter was suffering he would try everything in his power to ease her pain. He seems like an o.k. guy, we've moved on. To each his own. Cause no HARM.

I LOVE what I do! Every stroke - every leaf.

Cannabis garden that is & I have friends with BIG GARDENS!! :)

Education- can you ever get enough?

Do what you love and the rest will follow.

How have I decided to prepare for 2017... by taking a new art course.
Keeping active. Mind & body, mostly mind- until I can get outside again.
On-line with Craftsy, from the comfort of my office at my own convenience.
lol - I took this class- complete, in one day.

My newest class was instructed by: http://www.sharlenawood.com Sharlena Woods
I enjoyed it as it forced me to loosen up! I am pleased with my first two works- painted very freely/quickly while watching the class.. watch, learn & then go try to apply it to my own work. That is the plan, anyhow.
Each class, every book we read, every documentary- educates us further..
What will you do with your time today?
Me, I plan on becoming a 'better me' than I was yesterday..
today I'll start with art, so far so good.

Frida 'Tribute' bud.

Good Day! It's another grey day here in Canada and week of the same weather ahead, great week to paint! This is terrific as today I am starting a new painting, not that large but it's going to be detailed & significant of ..?.. emotions I'm trying to portrait, does this make any sense to anyone but me? hahaha - I'm anticipating a weeks worth of painting.
The magnificent beast! lol - I might just call it that!

Today I'm feeling a bit blue.. weather, life & longing... for what I'm not even sure some days. Change - because I know it is coming and needed.
I feel like being 'quiet', this is not always a good thing.. lol so it's time to paint.
I will be painting these 'little buds' in between- because they do make me smile & every one brings us one step closer to normalizing cannabis, the more it is seen - in a 'positive' light the better it is. This one fun- I'm going to paint a few other 'artist' inspired buds and see if people on IG or Fb can guess 'who it is'. hee hee hee *she is already a gift to a Frida fan.
I believe Frida must have consumed, I hope she did - for her pain if anything else.
