Nunavut card. 5 x 7
A girlfriend sent me a photo from Nunavut! It was pretty cool but busy with the town (albeit small, slightly distracting) so I painted her a card - without the town. She even brought her dog! What a wonderful adventure and I'm happy she went. Not back home (Ontario) until may - I'm curious to compare winters ;)
It's been an emotional couple of weeks.. stuff. Stuff happening with me and some friends, much of it difficult but all just 'life' and just part of the ups and downs. You just have to take it a day at a time. It's all a lesson - for us and for others.
I'm in full card painting mode as - tis the season. Below, Storm made the cutest frog fly lure- I wanted to paint a card for it, lo. It doesn't take much to get ideas for cards, there's a million reasons to send someone a card - mostly to make them smile. I'm going to keep the frog lure card, a collaborative venture with Storm. heehee.

I'm currently painting an old hand saw, the first sketch I thought was way too busy so I started all over. I love different canvas and there is no excuse not to paint - canvas are everywhere (acrylic painting) I've painted old milk cans, shoes, boxes, blinds, plant pots, wood slices, clothing, round saw blades, custom cut outs (of course) worn out objects are given new life - it's amazing what paint can do! Funky items also are cool because you don't expect them to be painted and look interesting on a wall. Another day, I've been given to create - YAY!! How about you?
Still here? Still breathing? Walking? Talking?
Amen.
