What a tiny love loon! acrylic on canvas 4 inches
I love loons and this one was calling to be painted. It's said if a loon lives in your lake it's a blessing, my neighbour is lucky then because I can hear it most mornings. I agree - all loons are blessings, even the human ones.
"You're a loon", I can hear my brother calling me.. and my response "takes one to know one".
Calling someone a loon, to me anyway, is not an insult it's more of a friendly remark like: you're a nut', crazy joker... funny. Not used to imply lunatic or insane. Hey... Loonatic' hahaha
I have several friends who all have "you're a Loon" moments, including me.
I read something absolutely Looney and NOT in a funny way but more of a "you have got to be bat sh*t &^%$# crazy" loons in Ontario, and you should be paying attention no matter where you live. I first read about this couple that was educating people on their current property tax bill- it went from $2,300 to $5,600! WTF!? Can you imagine.
Anyway - it turns out the township has an operating deficit of $2.5 million!
WHAT a bunch of loons! How the heck did that happen and to think they can turn around and now TAX people to save their asses - is not taxation but extortion. If they get away with this, don't think other municipalities won't do the same. Do you know it's illegal to tell people: Don't pay your taxes. Yep, I think that too is a form of emotional blackmail. Do what we say (like it or not) & shut up about it. I am not telling anyone - 'do not pay your taxes' but I am saying - DO not let anyone extort money from you because they have mishandled it themselves - obviously, for a long time.
LET the province GOVERNMENT (that we pay countless taxes to) step up - they sure as hell step up when it comes to sending BILLIONS to other countries to HELP them out.

This appears to be a form of harassment. Is this a class action lawsuit waiting to happen? I feel for all these people.. A friend visited with an instant camera and it made me smile and brought back memories - who didn't have a Kodak polaroid? Instant photos! What fun it was to watch the photos appear. Funny how something so simple can bring the sensation, memories of 'comfort & joy' .. he took a photo of Athene - she's 7 months & a very good girl, so far, thank God.
The photo below.. I do think it ends up being a lot more expensive than when we had our cameras - I wonder why that is, with all the progress we've had with cameras & photographs... Probably due to taxes.
