Sunshine - how awesome it is... don't get me wrong I love the rain too but the sunshine is nice! The garden certainly will enjoy it and the mosquitos don't like the sun so a bit of a reprieve will be nice. Geeeze I hate mosquitos -the number one creature who kills on the planet, the downside to summer.
As you might be aware I share good and bad and am a believer that is what God wants us to do. My mom's generation was one that was told not to share (imo), don't air dirty laundry' & there was lots of dirty laundry. I thought she was a boomer (me too) but she is of 'The Silent Generation' and that just proves my point - 'keep quiet' the same mentality went for kids, I remember hearing more than once when little: Children should be seen and not heard. F*cked up if you ask me. This has lead to generations of serious depression - keeping it all in. The more we share the more we also understand 'oh, I see (know) I'm not alone in that happening. For example, just yesterday I read a woman who was divorcing her husband because he kept tightening the jars, intentionally' forcing her to ask him (or neighbours) to open every jar! And some her neighbour couldn't even open without breaking. So, she decided to divorce him and many commented that was shallow. We don't know the entire story but I think she did the right thing, she wasn't crazy - she knew it was intentional and had asked, begged & cried about it with her spouse numerous times. I could completely relate! I have asked, yelled, cried (in frustration) the exact same thing! How many times did I have to remind Norm of my arthritis and to stop closing the jars too tight!!! Is that so hard to comprehend? Apparently so, as I still argue at least once a week for the same reason... So, I was glad to read - I'm not alone and I bet there are thousands (someone reading this) who deals with the exact same thing. I bought a jar opener (one touch) neat little handy' gadget (as long as the batteries don't die) saving countless arguments, with jars at least. Truly though, I felt relief knowing, I'm not alone at being pissed off at such simplicity. Judge if you want but if you had excruciating pain in your hands you'd understand it is kinda a big deal.
Today I'm sharing a farm incident that has me knowing, I would not make a good farmer.. I witnessed a murder! Seriously, the timing of it all had me wondering (really Lord, did I need to see that) for some reason I walked over to the window and looked out to see the male duck drowning a chicken in the kiddy pool! I was so shocked I had trouble getting the words out to Storm who did not see but was in the house. By the time he ran out - the chicken was dead in the pool and the male duck looked happy about it. Oh, If I could have got that duck instantly, he'd be dog food, he still might. Male ducks in my experience are mean... no more 'Donalds' only 'Daisy' ducks from here on out. Stick to chickens and female ducks. Another lesson learned the hard way. Such is life! A new appreciation & gratitude was felt for the chickens- I thanked the dead chicken for the eggs she provided an being a part of our journey. That's all we can do. No point crying over chicken soup. Hopefully by me sharing I can save someone some heartache... that's what God wants us to do!
You know what else I learned, because someone shared to educate us (I feel ignorant for not knowing)... Men get penis cancer! Ouch.. I never even realized it was a thing & a thing it is, on the rise. Check your peckers for spots regularly! If you let it go -it might go too, eventually. They actually have to remove the penis in many cases. Really! Why not share that?! We've been talking about women's boobs, pink ribbons and cancer for as long as I remember, never once have I heard about penis cancer. Check your penis (tell your partners) for spots & be aware of any pain... & clean it, good.
Perhaps, by sharing what I learned, I just saved someones life or at least their penis! Amen!
I am trying new acrylic paint as I saw this set (at Staples) & thought - I'm trying it! So far - so good. Every colour and it goes on nicely and appears to have great coverage, I'll know more when done. More affordable than my Golden paint that I usually use. I decided to do another Bambi as it was easy, fast & fun - come back tomorrow to see it done! Today I'm also finishing my pine tree adventures- lot's of details took me longer than anticipated. I think I'll try to make it a pine' frame... with bark - not like there's a lack of them.
Enjoy this sunshine day that The Lord has made! Created to create - get busy!
