Toad & "Polyozellus Multiplex". 5 x 7 framed.
Painting a new mushroom can be challenging, I've never seen this one but would love to - it can appear blue & black, I painted the blue just for fun. What a gorgeous day to paint, although the suns shadows can be a bit distracting, it adds an element of joy to watch it move across the desk. The golden glitter from my Bee glass' that holds my clean rain water (which makes me feel closer to nature- grateful for the water it provided me to paint), painting takes longer to dry already with chilly weather. It is a bonus, I get to take longer breaks while paint dries.
This painting was a gift. I picked up the frames at Glecoff's Family store, they have a bit of everything, clothing, craft supplies, material, boots etc. It's a terrific store when ever I need something, knowing I don't have to get if off Amazon & it's nice to wander around, it's got a great little section for kids too. The frames are perfect, I love the look of wood and they make the art all the nicer to give, ready to display! When giving gifts in person, they are often framed as I don't have to worry about mailing, breaking or the added cost of mailing. The fact it's still a family run business -is incredible, I hope it stays that way.. It's nice NOT to have a Walmart where you can be overwhelmed and tend to over spend. I know first hand how a Walmart also changes the community and closes MANY small businesses, we saw it happen in Keswick. If I need a gift or want to treat myself to a warm sweater, this is the place. The woman who does most of the Instagram posts does a fantastic job, I saw her in the store & should have told her but didn't, social media is a lot of work and people should be recognized for a job well done. They had a giant STUFFED Moose head, if I had a bigger place with higher ceilings I'd be tempted -lol. I can't even imagine what it cost, it was definitely fun'... much more enjoyable than knowing some moose had to die to get up on someones wall.
Time to paint. Have a creative day!
