I had fun painting this beautiful beast, as always he has glitter paint all over but you can't see it here.
He didn't take long, I used a big brush & stood the entire time, sometimes I feel that standing 'frees me up' for a looser look. I did prefer him when the background was black but at the last moment the bluish glitter was calling.
It was from an image of a tiger, just basking in the sunshine... sadly, the tiger had died so I wanted to paint him a little tribute.
Did you know Toronto & LA (the burnt LA) ARE slated to become one of the 'New cities', fully automated - state of the art futuristic, tourist destinations. It will be easier for them now to re build without all the riffraff, that won't be able to rebuild because their insurance was cut off a few months prior to the fires. Interesting how God was mocked the night before at the Golden Globes awards (all over social media)... next day the town burns down. Coincidence? Like that comedian during covid that bragged about all her vaccines, mocked Jesus and passed out cold seconds later, on stage, giving herself a concussion. Perhaps it's just bad timing... perhaps not.
I would not joke about such thing. I will not mock for amusement or 'likes'.
Do you know where the term 'Redneck' came from?
It derived from Irish slaves who were taken from their country and forced to work the sugarcane fields along with blacks, and their necks would turn red from working in the sun all day. Irish slaves that history tried to bury/hide - or at least avoid acknowledging.
The paint in the image below is lasting a while.. which is good because it is more expensive than most.
I think IF I was to order again (I won't now because of the exchange rate & duty -I'm sure many Canadians are shopping at home) I would try to order my own custom color chart'.. Id like a vibrant RED or purple & they do have them but they are too costly. Have you seen the newest creative products expected to hit the market in 2025? There's a tiny robot creature that will be expected to sell for $80... Mirumi, it clips to your expensive bag (duh) or backpack and looks around at people. When you look at it or try to address it, it pretends to be shy & retreats. That's it. That will be a hit with kids for at least a WEEK. Talk about drawing attention to your expensive bags by attaching this toy. Is it geared towards women or children? I'll pass... it has me wondering, ever since I read robo vacuum's take photos and can send transmissions to ... ?
Or the doll a while back that was recording EVERYTHING. What is then point?
Stuff.
I actually have an editorial on my desk... painting editorials helps ME - sort out the situation & thoughts in my own way.
It's kinda brutal... but true - imo. I'm pondering a title for it today... next.
Stay toned!
