Be Mine. Valentine..
O.k., I know I'm early but I really enjoyed painting the ant on the saw so I decided on another but - this is not that other. The other painting was NOT turning out and midway the idea hit! I don't normally 'not finish' a painting but I threw that one in the fire. I love this one.. lol It's the perfect mycologist valentine -if I do say so. Be Mine - the Parasite fungus spells out, since it's taken over the ant. They've made horror movies about it. I choose you.. hahaha. not that you had a choice.
Thes parasites are mind blowing, literally! Check them out. They are called Cordyceps Fungus and they literally take over the insect. It's considered a 'score' to fin one during a foray and I get why - it's incredible to see this tiny thing grow out of this thing insect and yes, kinda frightening. No-one like parasites that take over our bodies let alone minds. anyway, the idea amused me and the card for mycologist valentines was created. heehee
I woke to MORE snow, when it slides off the roof, I won't hardly see out some windows, it is still January and I anticipate Feb to be much the same, that's o.k. -it's all good as wee know what coming - that's faith.. we know what's coming. Skiers are in their element - all winter enthusiasts must be beyond excited here - it's lovely , snowy -it turns all of Haliburton & area into an entirely new adventure. I see Highland forest has tents set up to rent for those who want to experience winter camping! Not so me but I bet some will, it would be a great experience for kids, waking up on a snowy morning in a tent, actually It might even be an opportunity for a homeless life lesson, when we understand what other are actually experiencing, living in tents during these Canadian winters - a few days voluntarily - is a big difference from a few months because you have no other options., I don't know how they survive some days. Every lesson is an opportunity for love.
I'm painting a few more valentines today - I'm in the mood - to paint love & it's. fun break in between - snow, parasites an zombie ants - heeheehee
Oh, the cat is home, as crazy as ever... no slowing this beast down. I have to share - the dogs were covering him with kissed -before he even got out of the cat carrier, even Ginger!! Welcome home bud, we thought you're gone forever! Bird seems a bit disappointed -the cat is back, oh well. The key tolife is learning to live -together. All of us... including the cordyceps.
