Nehemiah 8:10
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared.
This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
I painted this outside while playing ball in between drying times. Dogs are Joyful - it doesn't take much to please them.
A scratch behind the ear, kiss on the forehead & throwing the ball are all it takes to brighten their day.
Sometimes it's fun just to create - no plans, no sketches... just go with the flow. This was one of those paintings.
Enjoy the gifts God has provided, the simple abundance... blackberries, fresh coffee, sunshine.
The stars were spectacular this a.m. (4 a.m.) I stood out there in the dark mesmerized at their number & glittering brightness. Ignore what steals your joy... just remind yourself : This need not be.
Focus on Joy - it is everywhere, as is God.
