Rise & Shine! It's a beautiful day to enjoy this day The Lord has made!
I finished my clay bear and was thrilled with how it turned out. Yes, my hands were hardly useable by the end of the day but the joy I had creating was wort it. Storm did all the prep for dinner - I just cooked it, team work.. allows me to keep creative - or don't cook, lol. I was wondering if it would be difficult but once I figured out the easiest way for me to apply DAS clay, it was a breeze, I just ripped off tiny pieces and pressed them on & then I scratched it with pencil..
Things should be useful - if possible, and what better way to recycle a jar? This bear holds ten tiny tea lights, one can sit on his head.. he looks adorable on the kitchen table! Note- the tiny mushroom jutting out' his side is actually a real mushroom I found and I wanted to experiment! It dried hard and so far has taken really well.. the clear coat of gloss will probably protect it further. Shout out to DAS & my mom who always made sure Santa put DAS in my Christmas stocking.
It has inspired me to created for over 50ish decades, it's soft, easy to use, dries quick - a lovely bright white (other colours are available) and takes paint well - (no gesso was used), a clear coat of gloss and I'm sure it will be around a while. Introduce your kids to DAS, you might inspire a lifetime love with Clay. It's satisfying to imagine something and then actually turn it into the object! I had some left over and a tiny jar so I made a special side kick'... come back tomorrow to see the set!
Walking the dogs, deciding what plants have to come in, kicking ball and creating with clay - I am going to enjoy this day The Lord has made!
