It's T shirt weather! yay! Below is a super easy, affordable fun way to spend some time.
Don't have any paint? No problem - use bleach! All you need is a dark T shirt. There are many to be found at the thrift stores. Place it on a big piece of cardboard so that it naturally stretches itself-making the surface easier to 'paint'. I had one laying around that has tiny holes in it and I just wanted to 'play', so I did.
I taped off a square (I did not measure) added a few caps of bleach to a cup and about 1/4 of water.
Then I just painted a design, not much thought was given, I wanted to experiment more than anything.
I painted dogs (of course) & dots. I sat in the sun and it dried quickly. For not giving it much effort, I was pleased and will try again soon and plan the image in more detail, I think I'll paint mushrooms and dilute the bleach even more before I finish, to see if I can achieve a varying 'shade'. That' it. It would be an easy craft for kids and if they needed a drawing to trace - let them draw on the T with chalk. I now have a new night-time T.
It's not always about creating a masterpiece'... it's more about exploring and letting go, doing something instead of watching TV or your phone. Recycling is always good too.
