It's Sunday and we woke to more snow! Arrow can't run through at this point, she saw a deer and quickly realize she wasn't chasing it in this snow. It's not as cold though so - that's nice. lol. I only have a few tiny details & mushroom left to paint on this saw. One of my favourite discoveries during walks is the tiniest bright -vibrant red mushrooms (as in the log I'm painting) -they catch my eye all the time as do very tiny bright red spiders... it's hard to miss that tiny dot moving slowly along the forest floor. I miss sitting, watching... getting 'lost' in the woods. Soon! In a week - it will be February!
Bird likes to sit and watch, cat likes to sit and watch bird, dog watches cat watch bird and chases cat, if dog things bird is in danger. lol. - it's really neat. If the cat even sits just looking into birds cage, Arrow corrects it and chases him. I feel blessed to have these tiny beings in my company. Bird watched me as I added blades of grass. Sometimes I am not so thrilled - when I must share my chair with two dogs (one chubby) , then two dogs at my feet, and a cat close by. I need a bigger studio or chair.
I watched this documentary called Inner worlds, outer worlds. I want to recommend it.. I was painting when it started automatically on my comp, it's on Tubi so as I was listening, something said would cause me to look over at my desk and the visuals were so stunning, calming and I was amazed -to the point I stopped painting and though- Im gonna go and watch. It's food for the brain and visuals that inspire, a great doc to watch, relax and absorb.

Well, Im ready for a day of reading, painting and dog snuggling - all about the details and that's always fun - I've also already decided on the next painting on paper & the next object I've decided to paint. A fun idea and I'm super excited to try - I just have to find the object, I don't have any... I'm sure I'll ask today & know the Universe will provide!
