Ice fishing season! Storm went ice fishing yesterday & caught dinner! How cool is that? It was delicious. The freshest, meatiest, tastiest fish I've had. He caught it, came home and cleaned it and cooked it, from lake to table. I'm always amazed with ice fishing, I don't 'get it' but I know many who find it thoroughly enjoyable, sitting on a frozen lake all day.
We buy fish from the grocery store at least once a week but this could not be beat. I also love the fact that I was able to take all sorts of photos to paint a new oar! This fish had tiny golden spots- it will be fun to try to replicate.
I forgot to ask to have my cards cut and Storm is ski patrol today so, another day before they are done.
Guess what!? - It's snowing! yeehaw.. I am amazed at the amount of snow we have, it's mid January and I love it.

I guess other Canadians are hearing Trump and his water woes... I am sick of hearing about how California has no water - like it was a miracle that did it... Californians did it - they depleted their water and now they want Canadas. California once had a huge lake! They redirected it - they played God and moved stuff around just like they have countless times with man made dams -that destroyed entire communities that use to once thrive. FACT.. So if he's going to talk about how California has no water - then remind everyone why - GREED. Profit.
Do you know what's more important that anything these tariffs cover? WATER. Water is liquid gold and it absolutely give Canadians power over the USA - regarding threats' made by Trump. California has no water still, but do you know what they do have - LUSH lawns and golf courses! The epitome of entitlement - Golf courses. Waste and more waste. Huge swimming pools and fountains - all over California. The parks are super green as they water them from below... vanity took Californias water. I was also watching the growth of Disney (for an example) & when Disney was building he did not give ONE f*CK and re directed water and built a giant lake/lagoon for it's rides and entertainment. How many times has this been done? What about the amount of water they use? How about theme park - or water parks!? Water for all sorts of fun except no water to put out devastating fires.
California has water - they use it like it's never ending - what about the movie industry? Another documentary told about Kirk Cameron building a giant TANK = just to shoot some movie footage. Quit crying you have no water when you yourself have treated it like a greedy little kid on a slip and slide. Canadians should be very protective of our water. We can't EVEN provide safe drinking water for our own communities yet America wants to re direct water - have we learned NOTHING? And for those who say - it's impossible to do what Trump is suggesting re directing the water... where there is a will, there is a way! They will truck /tank/train/pipeline it out - if they get the opportunity.
