Georgia… on my mind. Arrow, enjoying the deck furniture & sunshine!
Spring cleaning, found treasures and forgotten memories. My house is getting a spring cleaning & I’ve sorted through some boxes, not touched since I moved in. I found some old kids drawings I saved, from when I taught cartooning to kids (in school & my own studio), it was by far the most enriching experience I’ve ever had. We all teach & ALL the time.
I also found an old photos, a few in particular of a young friend we were very close with, who died at 13, I had a nervous breakdown ( for a few months) & closed the studio. I was not the same after & I closed for good. Lessons, the most painful also teach us the most, if we allow. I’ve learned the process of grief is necessary to help heal, if we don’t heal we become stuck. Stuck in a depressing rut, and we didn’t have covid back then to add to the stress. I’m not a good ‘faker’, if I see something upsetting I cry, if I’m happy, joyful - people know it! I like to tell those who I love, I love them. I’ve lost too many without telling them, how much they taught me & how my life was better because of them. More enjoyable because of them! Losing another young friend, Lauren.. I noticed on IG she had posted something intentionally for me & I didn’t see them until after she died - & it makes me feel like shit - I didn’t LIKE her posts. WTF Georgia.
Take sometime to like someones posts, it might be a bigger deal than you realize. I'm reminded that even without covid- ANY life can be taken at any time & I’m grateful for the lesson. Thank God daily for a new day & everyone in it.
China is teaching us right now… Frankly, I’m at a loss for words without tearing up.
What are you teaching? I hope & pray I am teaching all I love, how much I love you and am grateful for you & you friendship, messages, texts, letters & calls & likes. Thank you.
Now that spring cleaning is almost done - I can paint again!
Thunder & lightning have the house rumbling! It’s a perfect day to paint & ponder & play with my pets. I think I'll paint a spring Pepe! Enjoy your day & all lessons.
