https://www.ruthwilshaw.com/this-month I find every now and then I feel a bit bored and taking a class or two is all the boost I need. I didn't want to paint Halloween.. I think I'm over halloween, I don't feel like acknowledging let alone celebrating it... Halloween brings up good and bad memories, more bad so I'm o.k. with letting it pass. I'll admit - the stuff you see online from costumes (pet costumes are the best) to props and food are all fantastic, it's wonderful to witness such creativity.
I've been focusing on what I want to encourage in 2026, Bible & Jesus inspired art, as it's what brings me the most joy creating. Sometimes it seems pointless creating to create but it's not, as long as one creates' is what matters. T.V is such an easy distraction ' especially in the winter months, not this year.. I have a few books lined up and sketches waiting. I refuse to watch anymore holiday ROM COMs thrown together, just to keep the masses distracted. I have paintings to paint! How about you? My moms partner does puzzles- some are stunning and difficult! They have definitely come a long way. Keep your hands and mind busy - your brain will thank you for it!
Currently, on my desk is a Christmas ornament, I'll be finished today, then I think I will paint some Christmas cards & then
I'm painting something 'super spooky' just in time for halloween! A nightmare for us all.
