Solitude allows for wonder, refinement and peace. The frog was strictly for fun, no reason, no research... just imagination & paint. Time painting is never wasted, new ideas and techniques are born with each creation. I use to think every painting had to be meaningful', make a point, be a statement... when I started painting for God - every painting became about Joy & gratitude. This painting means... I don't know. lol I didn't have any great concept.. I just wanted to relax and paint albeit, I'm still finishing that big project (just tiny additions, detailing left) but I needed a break from it, so the frog was sketched and painted as I pondered other stuff.
Want proof social media is more to divide than bring together? Just today, I thought 'I'm going to share all things that make my heart swell' and remind me of the LOVE in the world. Good Luck with that.
On Instagram, I can share to 'my story' every hate filled, fear mongering, depressing, fu*ked up nasty human, incredibly stupid human, animal abuse & shallow humans being bad story, I've ever tried to... Today - NOT ONE of the inspiring, love filled JESUS inspired, people loving people, heart touching moments was permitted to share, to 'my story' - it was did offered to share on Snap Chat - don't have, X- haven't used since Twitter, TikTok - don't have.. and a few others I am not even aware of (thankfully) but not on my story. Talk about direct the narrative. I enjoyed my 40 day break, I spent more time with Jesus... and felt better for it. It has it's uses, like it could offer a friend sympathy and send them love & prayers.
Anyway, I'm grateful for the lesson Instagram.. time to paint.
I'm painting Jesus cards today! Christ is King!!! I can't wait.. Them, in my mind, in my heart.. has me overjoyed.
