I took a 40 day break from social media, logged on this a.m. and was crying 10 seconds later.
That's o.k., I'm glad I did.
My friend Tres has died. The young man I painted riding the dinosaur.
We also shared a birthday.
I knew the moment I saw 3 candles (I felt it pull at my heart, before I read a word) his mom posted, the first image to appear on my feed, sobbing, I turned it off. That was quick.

Please, send Tres mom some love & prayers, she's one of the strongest humans I've been blessed to know. Her love, compassion & journey most of us will NEVER understand, I tried to offer some support this morning and her reply was:
We love you! (more tears) & my painting, is her most cherished gift.
I supported & encouraged Tres cannabis journey and told his mom be loud & PROUD!
God would protect & help ease Tres pain & God did, with a plant provided by God.
I feel honoured, I was able to paint Tres on a Happy Raptor!
I had to turn off Instagram, I read some organization had implied they wanted his bones.. F*CK that! Haven't his mom, brothers, grandma & family not been through enough, where now they are expected to donate his bones to be viewed by strangers. ARRRRRGH!
I was asked/requested by Doctors at sick kids - after admitting they could do nothing to help us, IF they could remove some of Storms leg bone... for science. HOLY! *&^% *GOD help me, I'm trying to swear less, for you.
Don't dare judge, unless you are sitting in that office, listening to Drs. Medicine has crossed the line!
What happened to do no harm - SERIOUSLY. Mentally and OR physically, we are not animals in a lab for you to learn from & torture. To submit our children & US to unnecessary STRESS, medicine, procedures and pain!
Are you kidding me! I wish I had screamed that at the time. Thank you God, for allowing me the strength to say NO, the courage to against the norm and look into cannabis as a medicine for Storm, one that didn't destroy his organs along the way, or addict him to deadly pain medications.
Medical industry, WE ARE NOT PROPS to play and profit from.
I think she mentioned it was the Mayo Clinic, screw that. YAY to TRES MOM! What a rock star, she had him cremated right away, quietly, respectfully. Amen.
I stopped crying as a calm came over me and I saw an image! I'm painting it on a card for Tres mom.
Tres is with Jesus, no pain, just LOVE.
It has been a blessing knowing him. Hug your kids. pat the dogs. Scratch the cats chin..
