Sketch book treasures.. sketch books are a great resource. I doodle all kinds of ideas in them, usually quite quickly!
Some good, some not so great but it's a perfect place to play around. This sketch of Adam & Eve above I did years ago, looking at it again, I thought it looked 'sweet' & I like the idea around it 'God gave us all we need, right here with every seed.' That will be painted on the back of this twirling art. Just a fun, cute reminder.
I'm painting Pooh on my desk but this one sits outside, I'll paint it later today when it gets warmer to enjoy the sunshine, heat and birds and bees, while painting my version of the garden of Eden. God has given us all we need and the contentment on these two shows it... but we all know how the story goes. They didn't stay content for long.
What a first lesson in the bible we are taught. God gave them everything they would want or need & seeds an assurance of a future of growth and still - it was not enough. It wasn't enough for Adam and Eve and it appears most human are never content, still. This a reminder to 'Be'.. in the garden.
Sketch books make you a better artist, a place for quick creativity that can later be reproduced, when you can't think of what paint - your sketch book will hold many ideas to boost your creativity during a slump... I don't get slumps anymore - I always seem to have an idea to paint and even 1/2 finished paintings to complete, still it's enjoyable to look back and often I'll think - Oh, I like that , of something long forgotten. I'll finish both today, in between gardening, exploring and chores.
Don't forget... God gave us all we need, right here, with every seed. No mention of heavily processed food in the Garden of Eden, known to cause health issues, including cancer. Keep it simple. Be content - stay healthy.
Enjoy this day The Lord has made!
