This morning I wanted to wrap' some gifts - wrapping paper is garbage - yes lovely to look at! Bad for the environment, wasteful, expensive, not burnable due to all the inks.. blah blah blah then, I remembered a craft I watched on Instagram, so not my original idea, still I thought I'd share with you. It's easy & you are recycling! Free (mostly supplies) if you have any brown bags that is.
We have a few brow bags -with handles all from the burger truck that opened 'The Mason Jar" just at the town 'corner' in Carnarvon. They make the best burgers imo. & give take-out bags, if they get greasy I burn them. Usually they don't so I fold them up and save for just such an occasion - like this! Below are step by step photos to make a simple, cute wrapping and decoration until them - easy for big and little kids of all ages. & I ended up using 6 so I'm glad I saved them!
These would also look nice with big simple white snowflakes, wording and one I've painted with a big gingerbread man!
Speaking of Gingerbread man - I was sent this yesterday as it was shared by someone else on instagram, every year someone sees my original cartoon - Cannabutter. And they forward it to me or I'll see people comment, if they notice no credit they #georgiatoons thank you! It is nice to get some recognition for my creations but I was thinking just the other day; it's more important to keep creating to keep encouraging others: keep creating. Forward. Stressing, worrying or constantly pondering the past is not healthy or helpful. It's not for likes, it's for creating my own JOY & to thank the Creator. It's Christmas (soon) the season where people have a tendency to feel most alone & depressed - know how to not feel like that? Create something, spend time doing something you enjoy. For this wanting to try crafts - I noticed many locations carry small craft kits, under $10. so you can try before you invest in more art supplies. Gift the best gift of all - encourage someones creativity & imagination! Give them a reason to 'turn off and tune into relaxing & making something to help everyone be who we have all been created to be. This offer applies to ALL ages.
